Vida Simon’s installation/performance work has been presented in a wide range of contexts – galleries, performance festivals, residencies, and site-responsive projects in public and private spaces. Her work has been shown internationally, most recently in Lithuania and Chile. While her work is visually-based, she tries to create situations that undo representation, revealing processes that are normally kept “behind the scenes.” Drawing live often plays a central role in her performances. Collaborating and teaching are also integral parts of her practice.
