Laura Kaufman

Laura Kaufman has exhibited nationally, including the SUNY University of Albany (Albany, NY), Salisbury University (Salisbury, MD), Matteawan Gallery (Beacon, NY), Biers Gallery at Columbus College of Art and Design (Columbus, OH), Field Projects Gallery (NYC), Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY), and the Bronx Museum of Art (Bronx, NY). In 2012 She received an outdoor sculpture commission on Randall’s Island, NY as part of the First AIM Biennial and with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation. Her work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The Outdoor New Yorker, Yew Journal, and the New York Daily News. Kaufman will exhibit at Vassar College in the fall of 2016 and is currently included in the Dorsky Museum of Art exhibition of Hudson Valley artists.

She received an MFA in sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI and a BA in Studio Art from Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, NY. Kaufman teaches at Marist College and lives with her husband and son in a river town in the Hudson Valley.
