In the Water (3), 2007
pigment print on watercolor paper, 7.5" x 7.5"
Influenced by the artifice of Victorian photography and the trickery of theater sets, I employ a mixture of photographic and sculptural techniques to create something akin to a tableaux vivant. Using a performance-based aesthetic, and motifs culled from the history of allegorical painting, I explore our mythological connection to the natural world.
