"In the Garden and at the Table" was a large scale project that focused on the life of Rachel Carson. It was her book, "Silent Spring" that brought the world's attention to the dangers of the unregulated use of pesticides (chorinated hydrocarbon). Carson devoted her life to raising awareness of our connection to the natural world and how our way of life threatens the interconnectness of all living things. She is referred to as "the mother of the environmental movement."
