The title of this work comes from the Island it was made on. Located north of Heraklio in Crete, this small island’s only population is wild rabbits, rats and Kris Kris the local goats. We stayed during two weeks at the anchor of a small bay where the only architecture standing was a small church and the wreck of an old taverna destroyed by the winter storms. This ruin became our atelier and primary source of material to build underwater sculpture. We cut down two round rusty coffee tables in piece. Dismantled the objects were placed below the sand and below the sea. The attitude of these cylinders rising from the ground became similar to the ray species hiding in the sand to hunt.
