I set this up to accumulate material for the purpose of comparison while directly focusing on the filter that keeps this material both in and out of my living space.

I think this happens to everyone, but often I forget there are screens on my windows until I try to take a picture of something outside and all of a sudden my focus shifts and I am confronted with a perfect tiny grid obscuring my vision of what I was trying to see. This work fixes that gird in focus for observation, allowing it to tell about the spaces existing on either side of it based on each screens catch.
