The Landscapes is a two-minute video that traverses the homeland of detainees held at Guantanamo Bay. The Landscapes is part of Margot Herster’s major creative work titled The Guantánamo Project. The Guantanamo Project is a large body of work, developed over the past five years, which focuses on the complex relationships between detainees at Guantanamo Bay, their attorneys, the international press, and the news-reading public. In it's entirety, the multi-media work includes over 2000 photographs, videos, texts, and audio documents. The material was collected by Herster and is sourced from attorneys representing suspected terrorists at Guantanamo Bay.
