The photographs in the series “Parameters” were taken in the homes of individuals with agoraphobia. Agoraphobia reveals important connections between self and home, invisible boundaries, and the notion of the home as both a prison and a haven. I focused on how individuals attempt to create safe spaces within their homes, and the objects they accumulate as a means of coping with anxieties. In many of the images, I layered the space (nature, domestic, inside, outside) thus pointing to how individuals often create meta-worlds and entrances to and protection from the outside world through interiority.
