Contact Regarding Availability

This is a typical scene from my former neighborhood in East Baltimore, historically rearranged. The neighborhood was settled 100 years ago by Eastern Europeans, and is now inhabited mostly by transients and Central and South Americans. The buildings, the old rowhomes, are created from black and white photocopies of pictures I took at Machu Picchu, painting from memory, and transfers of text from the neighborhood and from Eastern European alphabets. The people are painted from people I see. I paint history as a spiral, switching back and forth on itself, and mixing us all together.
