Rehearsal for Unfolding the Universe, 2011
collage, glue, plastic, dust and collage on wall and ceiling, 66" x 36" x 30"
Continuing with paper from magazines I decided to physically cut out sections that were based on the placements of ads on the opposite page. They are placed together in a way that further drives the imagery outside of the body. "Rehearsal for Unfolding the Universe" is a recent sculptural installation part of this series. Other elements like hair, dust and patches of glue are added to establish an absurdity of production. This assembly, like all of my work, reflects connections between self and the outside world, be it everyday or cosmological.
