Black Holocaust Memorial, 2010

Encaustic (pigmented beeswax with damar resin) and photocopy transfer, 24" x 16"

This monument is arund the corner from my house in Savannah, Georgia. It was lovingly built over decades by James Kimball, the man pictured in front of it.

It is part of the series representing Savannah, and referencing the covers of books.
