Book of Flesh, 2011

paper, dried produce slices, letterpress printed, 3" x 3" x 1"

of female body insecurities with pseudoscientific formatting. Drawing connections between food, a woman's body and her societal role, the content of this book is intended to be both comical and disheartening. After several pages of negative statements about a body (written in first person) above a slice of dried produce, the punchline on the last page reads, "Of course a woman would be in the kitchen, thinking about her flesh."
