Celotex and raw pigment., 305cm x 95cm x 95cm
Part of a new series of work called UP THE DUFF. They are made from insulation boards called Celotex and raw pigment. Celotex is a common material used mainly for underfloor and loft insulation. Thick sheets of it have been cut and made into free-standing artworks. Some create a different physical space , are lit on the inside and can be entered. Others remain closed.
Ideas come from my travels in Syria, Lebanon Turkey and Morocco,
also from dimly remembered pictures in books.
