8'X8' WOOD TABLE, WATERCOLOR ON 8'X64' PAPER SCROLL, 96" x 672"
For this Installation/performance drawing I built a table that allows me to draw on paper within my arm’s reach while I am positioned inside the table – that is from a hole I have cut out in the center of the table as well as the paper. The scroll remains intact as the paper lifts from the table to work its way onto the wall. From the hole in the center of the table, I drew from idyllic postcard images of distant places to which I have never been. Drawings were made while the piece was on view to the public. Viewers could watch me and talk to me as I sat in the table and worked.
